Text Style Expressions in AE2020
Hi all,
I can’t figure out how to make the new text style expressions work in AE 2020 (v17.0.0. Build 557).
For all I know, they should be placed in the expression field of Source Text of a text layer, right?
When i write, for instance, “style.setFontSize(100)” in the expression field, I get this error message:
Error: Property or method named ’style’ in Class ’global’ is missing or does not exist. It may have been renamed, moved, deleted, or the name may have been mistyped.
What am I doing wrong?

Try this
text.sourceText.style.setFontSize(100)The style belongs to the ‘sourceText’ Class, not in ‘global’ Class.

Unfortunately it doesn’t work.
Do I have to activate this features somehow to make it work?
Other new features, such as dropdown menu expression control works. -
Make sure you have File>Project Settings>Expressions set to JavaScript.
