    Hey everyone.

So I posted this a few weeks back.. I seriously need to come up with an AE solution for a bottom text scroll like you see on CNN, Fox, etc. But every time it comes out all jumpy and it looks really bad.. not smooth

One guy told me to do this ” About 50 pixels/ second is a good speed. Just create two position keyframes, then use loopOut(“continue”) for constant speed.”

I don’t know how to do this script…can someone help me? is there a plugin that I can buy? can I pay someone to set up a source file that will render smooth scrolling text from left to right??

    Thanks all!

    Tim

are you rendering with fields? and are they in the correct order? Find out what field order your NLE requires and try rendering like that.

i just did a quick test, just made a line of text using the basic text effect, two keyframes, didn’t adjust the speed, just left it at 155.16px/sec, then rendered out upper field first (cause we use blackmagic hardware) – and it plays smooth in FCP

    Thanks duffbeer911

Unfortunatly the basic text effect doesn’t allow me to change fon’t sizes in certain parts..
for example i need to write something like Anyd Irons (HAW) and the (Haw) needs to be 4 points smaller..

but the text effect does play smooth.. it’s just the text layer won’t animate smooth..
