  Text path tool

  In AE CS3, I am trying to use the path tool to simply create a title that follows the radius of a circle. The text path tool includes a Biser, loop an circle. Not sure what the difference is in the loop and the circle as the layout seems to appear to be the same, but I am using the circle effect.

  Clicking on the registration tic of the radius control, I am able to set keyframes around the circle for the text path to follow. However, when playing back or scrubbing the CTI, I notice that the radius of the circle is expanding and contracting “breathing” between the points I manually set along the circular path. This makes the text path do the same thing, obviously and destroys the effect. I am being very careful to line up all points along the fixed radius path presented from the circle path but some interpolation is being added by AE which is affecting the radius.

  Can someone tell me why the radius is changing between points?
