  • Text Jagged when on a background

When I overlay text using the built-in font render onto of an image file, the output text looks slightly jagged around the edges.

I’ve tried all various interlace/de-interlace, upper, lower and interpret footage options and it wont go away.

Interestingly if I only overlay 50% of the text onto the image, the part this is not overlaying is fine.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

I have the same problem when I use the write-on effect is Premiere Pro CS4. No matter what I do, de-interlace, Upper field, lower field, progressive scan, On the original, reveal the original, on transparent; the result is always jagged line. I spent hours preparing my sequences which looked fantastic in the preview panel, but once I rendered them out to DV AVI I got this horrible interlaced appearance of the line. I am pretty sure I am not doing anything wrong and I have no other problems with Prem Pro. Very frustrating.

It’s strange but my text looks fine over interlaced SD DV, it’s just when it’s over a jpg.
