    can anyone tell me if there is a special codec I should use for Avid 720×480 dv output of a simple xtreme blurred text animation??

    animation comes in all blurred, snaps into focus and scales up. final frame of the scaled up text is 100%, yet when viewed in the Avid..the text is jagged and alias.

    any thoughts or suggestions?

    thanks much!

    This is kind of obvious, but just in case…. Are you choosing “Best Settings” in your Render Queue? Maybe it’s stuck at “Current Settings” and your text isn’t already anti-aliased.

    yeah sorry…should have stated that;

    definetly set to best quality and full resolution in the final render. looks great while test rendering in AE. but when the quicktime mov file is pulled into Avid…it looks jagged. no crispyness from AE.

    thanks!

    Hmmm … did you render with an alpha channel? Avid likes “straight alpha”.
