  • Text is a layer? Why?

My text has become a layer and I am not certain why or how to revert it back to text so that I can edit it.

I am on CS and am rather new (obviously) to Photoshop.

Some of my text remained text and some of them turned into layers. I have the same effects on some of both so I can’t figure out what I did to make them change.

    Thanks for your help.

Someone off line pointed me in the right direction. I rasterized those text elements and therefore rendered them uneditable.

So I retyped them and got what I wanted.

    Lesson learned.

Way to go Fred. As you come to experience the joys of PS CS2 you will have many questions. Sometimes you may have to (choke sputter cough) read the manual (aaargh!). There is usually someone here as well who has been there, done that and can help you through it too.
