Anyone out there have some good tips for creating a text turning into smoke effect?

hiya,
this tutorial shows you how to turn text into sand, im pretty sure you could tweak it so its smoke. there’s another tute on here somewhere that uses particular instead of partical playround, that would probably be pretty useful as well.
