I’ve created text in this program countless times, but this is new. I just clicked on the text drop down box in viewer to create a 1 word title. sounds easy right?? NO! I can’t move it. When I drag it , the text slides behind the viewer window out of sight and no matter what I try, It won’t go into the canvas or the timeline. What did I do to my setup?

Sounds like you have the viewer set to image & wireframe
    (Can you see the wireframe?)
Set it back to just Image in the dropdown menu top of viewer,
Or hit th W key to toggle thru the wireframe options

I’m visiting a friend while I go to my mom’s funeral. I thought I would put together something for her memorial service. I found out the problem. While getting a cup of coffee, I returned to find her cat laying on the keyboard. FCP was going nuts. I would never figured out how that wireframe got put on. Thanks Nick…worked like a charm!
