    Hei!

I am a little in trouble understanding Text media in Vegas. On left and right side of my video stays so to say untouched areas where the text doesnt reach. In preview its runs 100% from side to side but after rendering not. Check this short clip to understand me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nebrWwU2nfE

Anyway I have noticed that preview doesnt match with the final clip comparing added texts, so its a bit hard to add text there where i want, because after rendering its a bit on a different place, what am i doing wrong ?

And as final, it would be nice to know, how can I make such edge like I have on my troubled side clips when I want it. For example text coming out behind a tree in center of video. like on this video at 1.20min. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWOSTlH-Q_g&feature=channel_video_title Btw is this just a usual 3D font?

Sorry for such a many questions and bad english, hope you understand my main problem
    Thanks a lot!
    James

It sounds like your project aspect ratio does not match your rendering aspect ratio which is why things are getting cut off. You need to make them match. If you don’t know how then tell us your exact project properties and render properties and we’ll tell you what to change.

    Hi!

Sorry for so late response, but thanks! My project aspect ratio was totally different.

Got it working now. But somehow I still manage to get text cutted off if I play too much with pan/crop on text media.

I resized that “F-thing” so much that it turned itself around,so on video text first is zoomed in and wasnt on the screen anymore and then comes back(like zoomed out effect). But when coming back there are cutted off sides.

I am sorry im just beginner in video editing. I got my main problem solved now, but what am I doing wrong or why are the sides cutted off when i play with pan/crop that much? How to do it correctly?

My guess is that your second text event doesn’t match your project settings.
Go into Pan/Crop for this event, right-click and select “Match Output Aspect”.
