Text in 3D space randomly blinks on and off

July 24, 2010 at 8:09 pmI have camera that flies over text and a solid several times. The camera flies from one text box to the next, where it pauses for a few seconds then moves on. I had no problems until just now, in the ram preview the first text box and solid blink on and off randomly. It only happens on the first text box. Even when I just scrub through the timeline it does it. I restarted AE and the problem still occurs. Any ideas? Also, just FYI, I’m using videocopilot’s SureTarget preset, though it doesn’t seem to be a factor.

Maybe the SureTarget is a factor. The reason it is happening is because the position of the null object jumps way off for random frames then returns back to normal. Not sure why it is happening… -

July 24, 2010 at 9:01 pmAnd… problem solved. I changed the keyframe interpolation to linear and it works fine. I guess I just have to avoid easy ease keyframes with such a long animation. I’m not sure what the exact root of the problem is, but I’m fine with the solution now.

July 25, 2010 at 11:50 pmTry rendering it to see if it really happens, if so then maybe you need more ram?

July 26, 2010 at 3:44 pmI know I have read it on Andrew’s forums, but I couldn’t find the post anymore. Anyway, SureTarget has a problem when there is only 1 target, it jumps around, blinks…add a 2nd target and your problems will be solved.
