Does any know how to randomly shuffle between two phrases using the text animating effects in after effects. What I am trying to achieve is go from a phrase “CLEAN SHEETS”,
then have a slow random change of each letter to then form “FLUFFY PILLOWS”.

Is this achievable? Do I need to clarify more of what I am trying to do?

    thanks

Create you text “Clean Sheets” Twirl open the properties, twirl text property. Click the “source text” keyframe. Go to where you want it to change to “Fluffy Pillows” and another keyframe.

Now you want to add an animatable property, “character offset” If you want this change to occur over 1 second, move 15 frames before you text change and turn on the character offset stop watch with a value of 0. Now move 1 second later and hit the check mark so that you have another value of 0. At the change insert a new value, this will cause the letters to continually change in a random like.

Adjust the range selector to finish the animation.
