[Michael Hoogasian] “they did give me a free license for VP16 which they say does not have that bug :)”

Wow, that’s very generous of MAGIX! Install VP16 and use it, you’re going to enjoy using it. I exclusively use VP16 now and only fire-up earlier versions to assist Users with previous versions, here that would be you.

Install VP16 and use it, you won’t look back ????.

Honestly, there isn’t much difference between Movie Studio Platinum and Pro. It’s just VEGAS Pro with some features and CODEC/Interchange formats disabled.

It is not at all comparable to the difference between Premiere Elements and Pro CC, or iMovie and Final Cut Pro X 😛

MSP 12 is 3 versions behind VP15, so it’s possible that the bug was introduced into VEGAS Pro (and possibly Movie Studio Platinum) after that version was released (i.e. v14, though the bug may be limited just to v15 of VP). MSP versions, these days, release months after VEGAS Pro, so it’s possible that it may dodge bugs that are in VEGAS Pro by virtue of them being fixed while it’s still in development, while VEGAS Pro simply has the bug ignored because they decide to backburner it and work on the new version instead.

The one remaining question is, does VP16 also solve the issue of the text not respecting the anchor point? I haven’t had a chance to get VP16 fired up to test that yet….

Good question. My advise would be to ask your contact at MAGIX. I’m sure they’d give the best reassurances. Why don’t you load it up and see?

Well I got it loaded up today, and while I can confirm the keyframe bug is gone, it appears that the anchor point bug has not been resolved. I guess I’ll email them again with another screenrecording, since they were so happy I provided one last time…

Did you try my work around with legacy text? Unless you don’t want to use legacy text.

I don’t think you quite understood what the problem is. I made another screenrecording so as to make it more clear what the issue is.

Stopping by from the far-off future to say that I also have this issue in Vegas Pro 15!

    Guess it never got fixed!

Well, the only fix is to upgrade your version of Vegas Pro. Tons of improvements has been made since version 15!
