I recently learned how to animate text with Event Pan/Crop. I followed the tut and everything is just fine, but when I have the text zoom toward the screen, with it being saved in 720p, the text cuts off at the sides in the final product since the preview is in 480p. How can I stop this from happening?

Right-click in the Pan/Crop window before you do anything else and select Match Output Aspect. This will stop the edges from being cut off due to mixing aspect ratios.

Well does that mean that I have to remake the animation? Or can I manage this with a finished one?

You can try to match output aspect on the finished one but if it doesn’t work, you’ll need to remake it.

Just a follow-up actually. I managed to fix the problem by doing the opposite. I set the Match Aspect Ratio setting to NO and it actually fixed it. Even though in the file properties it says it’s in 720p, apparently the aspect ratio was somehow set to 480p.

Glad you got it working. Good point about disabling aspect all together. I’ll have to remember that for next time (although matching it up front avoids the issue).
