text along a PATH
Hey all.
I am having troble animating text along a path. Is there any chance anyone can talk me thru this? Im using a demo of 6.5 I have got my line of text on the mask line…. but now i have no idea how to make it move. If someone could whip up a quick file as an example it would be much appreciated

Twirl down the text layer and you’ll see Path Options. Use the First Margin or Last Margin parameters to move the text. You might try looking at the Help menu also 😉

You will need to draw a path with the mask tool then go into the text path options and
select the mask for the path then do as John suggested.I think John forgot to mention that on his post.

thanks for the feedback guys…..i actually got it working. This was my first time using After Effects. Im a flash designer and had a project that had text along a path, flash sucks at text along a path…After Effects saved my life…… My impression of After Effects is that the interface really needs some work but it looks quite powerful…. I think Im gonna play some more with it 😉
