I have the Black Magic Disk Speed tester. I have noticed that my external drives sometimes to read and write 100+mbs 5GB stream then after time they slow down to to like 13 mbs? even empty? can you have to many Esatas going at one time?
they are Esata 1 TB Seagate 32mb Cache
Is there a multiplier setting I need to adjust?

I would check your write caching policy is Enabled in Device Manager for the device in question, accessible through the Properties > General click Change Settings button.

You might also check if your eSATA port is SATA I, II or III capable, with III being the fastest at a theoretical maximum of 6 Gbps.

From memory I get close to 30 mbps but I cannot confirm as my system is getting repaired.

My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 10e (x32/x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6
