test Blu Ray iso
I have Encore CS4.
I created a 10 GB iso file from my project, and I need to mount and test the iso before I burn the disc.
I’m using Daemon Tools to mount the iso, but can’t get anything to play it. Also when I look at the disc in windows explorer, it says it’s corrupt and can’t read the disc.
But when I run Roxio’s drive info, it does see the virtual disc, as a blu ray 10 GB.
Anybody know how I can test an iso disc??
Additional Info:
–I don’t have a blu ray burner in the computer, it’s installed in the automated duplicator.

Windows XP doesn’t recognize the file formatting on Blu-ray discs.
As far as I know, there are no software Blu-ray players that will read BDMV folder that is not written to a Blu-ray disc. Blu-ray licensing is very, very strict.
There may be freeware that can do it. Check videohelp.com for any tools.

Make sure you have the latest version of Daemon Tools. Also, it could be your software player. Like Joe said, XP doesn’t recognize Blu-ray disc format, so trying to view the contents in windows explorer/ My Computer will give you an error.
I use Power DVD 8, which supports mounted blu-ray images. I believe older versions are not able to play images. As long as your software is up to date and capable of playing Blu-ray, you should have no problems. Your monitor also has to support blu-ray (HDCP compliant).

I think I’ve got this figured out but the trial version for PowerDVD8 doesn’t support Blu-ray playback.
Is there any trial/freeware that will allow me to test an iso for playback??

You can try Power DVD version 7.2.
Thats the ONLY version that support playback of BDMV folder.
Next versions removed that option for the reason Joe mentioned.2 minds are better than one.
