Telestream Screenflow to Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 – Workflow & blurry video
Hi Creative Cow Friends,
Background:
I am a novice at Premiere Pro. I just fired it up for the first time yesterday. I have been using Final Cut Pro for a number of years and about 5 months ago I transitioned to Final Cut Pro X. I recently purchased the Creative Cloud membership from Adobe and I wanted to start using Premiere Pro so that I could take full advantage of the interoperability between all of the Adobe products.
Question:
I make screencasts (movies of software) that also include narration. My workflow includes capturing the on-screen video with Screenflow from Telestream (https://www.telestream.net/screenflow/overview.htm). After I’ve captured the video and done some basic trimming in Screenflow, I export the video. Screenflow has a exhaustive number of ways that the video can be exported.
Once exported I import the clips into Premiere Pro. What I’m running into is that the video is blurry when placed on the timeline and rendered. Obviously I’m missing something when it comes to exporting the video from Screenflow or how I have the project setup in Premiere Pro.
Does anyone have any advice for me on export settings or project settings in Premiere Pro?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can send my way.
Kevin Hunt
