  • Technique to remove lens vignetting in a clip with mocha?

Posted by John Mayer on February 6, 2016 at 2:00 am

    hello,

I am using mocha to stabilize a shot in a clip, but the lens vignetting as a result is moving around inside the footage. I’m trying to find a way to remove lens vignetting in my footage so I may put an artificial one later that doesn’t move.

    Is that possible?

Remove the lens vignetting first then stabilize the footage. Then add a new one back in.

Do I need a specific filter to remove the vignette? I know that in Lightroom I can remove it by selecting my lens model and LR will take care of it, but I think it doesn’t work for clips.

I use curves effect on an adjustment layer with a soft circular mask.
