tearing on video edges with movement
Hi all,
I have come upon a new issue with tearing on the edges of my video when I export at 1980 x 1020 with H264, deinterlace or not. It happens with .mov or .mp4. It is pronounced when there is movement in the frame.
When I export at 1280 (H264) it’s all perfect. The person who shot this has never had problems before with this. He says his cam was set at 1080 or the highest setting but he is double checking. The camera is a Sony 70 U. Not a huge deal since 1280 is more than fine. But I would love to get to the bottom of this.

The camera shoots both progressive and interlaced. There’s no mention about your workflow.
Generally if you’re seeing it on motion it can be interlacing issues. Maybe it’s related to compression settings as well. Maybe there are issues with the source quality not apparent until compressed at certain settings.
