    hello guys,

I don’t know if this post was posted or not but to make sure I am doing it again.

so I working on a project where I want to use the page turn effect with a ripped paper tear mask and I managed to do it with this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6EYBJBE2Fg&t=1s) but as soon as I want to combine it with the typography which I want to let appear on this first page the tear mask is not working anymore (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuDQq3tXQyk&t=2s). I already tried making a second comp and insert it on the first page and import it as a Quick time mp4 video. None of this worked. Is there any resolution for my project? I really need help, I am supposed to have it finished in january for university :'(.

At around 12 minutes in the video, he talks about this issue, something to do with setting the back page in the Page Turn effect. Double-check that and if you’re still having issues, can you post your project files here and I can take a look.

Yeah I checked but I don’t see the mistake. Maybe I’m just not getting it, also I’m a very beginner in AE. Anyways: here’s my project and thank you for helping me

    Hi Gina,

I looked at your project and it looks great!

The only thing you forgot was to extend your ‘Ripped_Black_Paper.png’ in the ‘Tear Mask’ composition to the end of the timeline, thats why it dissapears.

Just grab the end and drag it to the right.

Or select layer, drag time marker to the end, then press option + ]
