  Tascam DR 100, Location Sound

  Has anyone had any experience using the Tascam DR-100? I’m looking for a portable sound recorder for use in indoor, outdoor, documentary, and scripted video production. The only reason I was leaning toward the DR-100 and not the HD-P2 was the size and price, but from what I can tell the DR-100 doesn’t do timecode… ? Jam syncing isn’t as much as a priority as being able to set it up for free run.

  Any thoughts or suggestions on these or other location recorders?
