    Tascam DR-05+Videomic Pro?

    Hello to the community, this is my first post.

    I’m thinking about buying some recorder to get decend sound while filming, and considering I will use the Rode VideomicPro which I already own plugged into a recorder, does it matter if the recorder is the Tascam DR-05 instead of a higher budget Tascam DR-40 or Zoom H4?

    I don’t know exactly, what do you mean? It has a minijack, but I can plug it into a recorder with an XLR-minijack converter.

    If I don’t have a recorder, I plug it into my DSLR, but the audio quality is poor then.
