  • Tape won’t capture due to time code breaks – wild or batch

    I’m trying to capture a mini-DV tape 4×3 @ 29.97.

When I log the clip it ends up stopping at a seemingly random point because of “time code discontinuity” or it “can’t find the pre-roll.”

When I try to capture it wild, it says I’ve inserted a dropframe tape and that I should insert a nondropframe tape. When I change the dropframe setting to nondropframe, it says that a dropframe tape should be inserted.

I also tried unchecking the boxes so that the tape will “Stop capture if a bad frame is detected.”

What else can I do? The tape doesn’t seem to be bad.

    Thanks.
