Taking out a large centered objectout of a moving panoramic background

Is he standing still and the camera is moving with him staying stationary? Or do you want to fill in the background behind him?

other than a throwing motion of his arm, he is stationary as the camera rotates around him. I want to take him out of the picture, possibly by filling in the background behind him like you’ve said. Since the background is shifting to the left the entire time, I’m guessing I could use that to fill in the space he’s covering somehow, just don’t know how to go about it.

Yep–place a copy of the clip in a layer below, and offset it slightly. Then paint your guy out, with plenty of feathering, and place the lower clip in such a way that it fills the hole. You’ll have to rotoscope him–there’s no automatic way to do it.
