system specs too weak?

mac os 10.5.8
cs5
2 x 3 ghz dual intel xeon
10gb ramworking with:
1920×1080
29.97

November 15, 2012 at 1:25 amNot terribad but a little light on RAM. Honestly any computer will suffer from super slow render times if you throw enough at it. Are your compositions fairly simple? Are you using “render multiple frames simultaneously” and if so: what are your settings? Have you checked out Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor while the render is in progress?

For working in HD, It would be better if you have at least 16 GB RAM.

RAM allocation per: 2gb
Actual CPus: 2ill check activity monitor too.
fairly simple, some iris flares on text with a simple camera move
