System specs question
I’m looking to edit a documentary in either Avid or Premiere pro. I am buying a new Imac to do so.
I am curious – does this seem like it will function with both premiere/avid and davinci 12 lite? I am hoping to be able to do some light color work in real time with 2k footage.
Potential specs –
4.0GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 4.2GHz
8GB 1867MHz DDR3 SDRAM – two 4GB (please keep in mind I will upgrade to 16GB at the very least.)
2TB Fusion Drive (not sure about flash storage, as it wears over time)
AMD Radeon R9 M395 with 2GB video memory -

2k will require faster disk speed unless you take advantage of premiere’s new proxy function.
