Are the system requirements in the manual (2.8, 512MB) realistic, or more like minimums? I have a 3.0 P4 with 2GB RAM, is that sufficient?

    Just another video knucklehead…

I have a 2GHz PC with 1G of memory, and that is plenty.

Would you believe I have it running on a Pentium III 300MHz? Naturally I don’t use it for editing but I *DO* test running Excalibur on that machine. I figure if that machine can handle it then YOUR machine should be able to handle it.

Likewise the XP SP2 requirement for HDV isn’t 100% true either – SP2 just makes it a LOT easier. In SP1, you have to manually add the proper driver. HDV supposedly works in Win2K also… *IF* you can find and install the right drivers.
