System low on Memory when rendering
Hi i have been trying to deal with this problem for a long time.
When ever i try to render about a minute or even less worth of video i get an error saying that The system is low on memory, check for background applications.I have 3GB of memory and over 70% free space and everything runs smooth but i dont get how i can have this error occurring.
here are my specs just incase
Windows XP
AMD Atholon 64 X2 Dual
Core Possessor 3800+
1.99Ghz 3GB Ram -

What is the source of the footage on the timeline? If it has a lot of large multi mega-pixel still images this may cause low memory problems. The solution would be to scale the images down first outside of Vegas. It doesn’t matter that your system has 3GB. In XP, Vegas can only use 2GB maximum.

The footage is a video, wmv to be exact if that is what you are asking
