    I am working on a project that will go back and forth from my studio to my clients studio. I am concerned about compatibility issues. They are back a few version, I’ll assume they need to upgrade. But beyond that what other technical aspects do I need to be concerned about? (see specs below)

    My setup:
    AE Version 8.02.27,
    MacPro3,1
    Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 3 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 2
    Total Number Of Cores: 8
    L2 Cache (per processor): 12 MB
    Memory: 6 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.6 GHz
    Boot ROM Version: MP31.006C.B05
    SMC Version: 1.25f4

    Their setup:
    AE version 6
    Power Mac G5
    PowerMac7,3
    CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (3.0)
    Number Of CPUs: 2
    CPU Speed: 2.5 GHz
    L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
    Memory: 4 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.25 GHz
    Boot ROM Version: 5.1.8f7

    AE version 6 will open in 8 but not the reverse. Use an older copy you have then you’re fine.
