  • Syncing second audio source after editing original?

Posted by Dusty Sensiba on October 27, 2008 at 7:46 pm

I recorded a speaker talking in front of an audience with my camera and also taped up a recording device up close to get good audio.

I started working on editing the video with the camera’s audio and I am wondering if there is a way to replace the source clip’s audio with the better close-up audio and having it automatically go into my cuts.

I’m not too hot on the idea of replacing/syncing the audio for each cut (there’s too many of them!).

I don’t mind doing the editing again…I am just looking for a way to sync up the audio one time instead of many dozens of times.

Maybe you can put the second recording on audiotrack 2, synchronise with track 1 and edit both tracks together with the videotrack.

    Good luck

    I figured it out…

I made a second timeline sequence that would drop into the preview window and could replace the original clip. Working pretty good.
