  • Syncing music with video for Music Video shot 24p

    Hey all,
I shot a music video with an HVX 200 at 720PN. I loaded it into final cut and I am trying to sync the footage with the AIFF audio file from the CD. But the video runs faster than the audio from the CD. Is there anyway to fix this like changing the AIFF audio to 24p or something like that?

How did you do the playback? Is your sequence matching the camera frame rate exactly? Has the CD sourced aif file been sample rate converted to 48khz? Is the CD mix the same as the playback track? How much faster is the picture?

If all the frame rates are correct, the amount of speeding up of the 48Khz aif file needs to be calculated. If it is less than 1% you won’t have pitch or tempo issues. If it is more, then the must have been a more major issue.
