  • Syncing Music to Video for a Music Video in FCP

    Hello

I recently shot my first music video, and im having trouble syncing the video to the actual song. i didn’t use any time code generators, which i understand now was a big no no.

I’m trying to sync up the audio to the clips i shot, but i find that in comparison to some clips the song is about half a frame out whereas with others it seems to be alright. what can i do to stop this from happening and have all the clips and the song in sync?

I’m using FCP 6, and all the clips were shot on a Cannon 5D MKII in 30fps

    I desperately need help!!!!!

    Half a frame?
Who cares? Half a frame is unnoticable on a music video.
If it’s playback, the talent is not able to do playback that accurate, so just move the clips untill they look sync as good as you can.
You can’t edit on half a frame. You can shift the sound as small as per sample, but i hardly think this is needed.
