Syncing fine, what next (Workflow advice please)
Hi there. I have a simple 25fps project and am happily able to sync production audio to the picture within avid. No issues there. But whats confusing me is what to do next? whats normally the next step? Syncing production audio to video happens all the time. What is standard for an editing project? My issue is that the only way I can think to create workable clips with synced production audio is to synch them on a sequence then make sequence subclips of the synced clips. Then using autosync I turn those sequence subclips into workable subclips (double clickable to get into source window) During my workflow testing I was a tad dubious that this was normal and apon testing an EDL export I notice the EDL references the names of my subclips, not my original master clips which is what I would want to replace with higher res later on.
So, can anyone tell me a better way? How is it normally done? Do people often sync then edit with subclips?
I have searched for the answer to this but with not much luck, any advice will be appreciated.

Do your sound sources and video sources have the same timecode when recorded on set (jam sync to time of day)? If so, then no need to make a sequence – just select all clips and do AutoSync based on common source timecode.
Subclips always have a relationship to the master clips. If based on tape name and timecode, then those will be the same on your master clips and subclips regardless of what you choose to name the clip. More detail on how and what you are conforming will help answer that one more completely.
