I am finding using the “Synchronize Clips” command to automatically sync up Canon DSLR footage with a digital audio file to be behaving strangely. I am selecting the audio and video files as directed in manual.

Even if the video is 1080p 29.97, the resulting Compound Clip ends up being 720p 23.98fps. You can change the frame size to 1080p using the “Edit Compound Clip Settings”, but it won’t let you correct the frame rate. The audio file is a 48k stereo wav.

Is the only frame rate supported 23.98? Is this user error somehow? Or have I hit a bug?

Sorry if this has been discussed. I did a search on Synchronize Clips but turned up nothing related.

By the way….I also had some other footage from another shoot that actually was 23.98 and it auto synchronized beautifully.

I think it’s a bug. Someone else posted the same problem. Does your audio have tc by chance?

The original file does. I also have a duplicate (converted to aiff) without tc.
    No difference.
