I have 5 angle multiclip of approximately 4:30 length. I have already edited this 5 angle version. I now want to add a 6th angle. The incoming angle wants to cue to the the end of its length–meaning that I would have to scroll back 4:30 to get it in synch with everything else. Is there any way to enter a timecode number in the overlay window. It would take me at least twenty minutes to scroll the 4:30 and I’d probably get carpel tunnel (sp?)

    Thanks,

    jay

How did you sync up the original multiclip? When you add an extra angle, FCP uses the same method to determine the sync relationship. So if you used a common in point to sync angles 1-5 then you should mark a corresponding in point on your 6th angle before adding it to the existing multiclip.

I used an “in” point on the original clips. I set an in point on the new angle but it still uses the end point.

When creating a multiclip you can tell FCP to sync to the in or out point. You might want to check to see if that setting is correct.

    Dave,

I am trynig to ADD an angle to an existing multiclip which had in point selected as the sync point. I put an in point on the incoming angle. It nonetheless cues to the end of the clip.

    Aloha,
