  • synching audio from external file to hdv footege in MC5

hello,so here is my mind bogging situation: i have a clip that i want to synch audio from an external audio source( in my case its an interview shot in 1080I hdv – that have allready 1 audio channel( from a gun mice(recorded into the hdv footege),and 2 channels audio from 2 diffrente neck mics recorded from the external audio source)

    and here is my question:
1-how to group the audio from the external audio source with the original hdv footege?

2-and not loosing the allready exsisting gun mice channle that was recorded into the hdv footege?
so i will have at the end – a combined synchd clip with 3 diffrent channels:
    1 gun mics
and the other 2 are the diffrent neck mics

    appreciated any help
    thanks!

You are looking for the AutoSync command (Bin->AutoSync). If you are on v5, you can keep the existing tracks of the picture clips, and have the sound added. There are options for that in the AutoSync dialogue box.
