Synch Audio before Cutting
Hello friends,
I have a question regarding synching audio before using it. I shot a bunch of interviews with a 7D and recorded the audio on an external Zoom H4N not connected to the camera.
I was wondering if there was a way to synch the H4N audio with the 7D footage and then store the newly synched footage away in a bin. As of now, I can synch them in a timeline and then link them, then that is all.

Search FCP’s Manual (help menu) on “Merged Clips” or Merging clips…
This creates a new clip which appears to be a single audio video file.
OR you can export those little sequences you’ve used to sync the clips with as self contained movies. This would create new media files that may well be a bit more reliable to use than Merged clips.

A good ol’ search for ‘merge clips in fcp’ and I found exactly what I was looking for. All I have to do is link the clips in the timeline and then drag them into the browser. So simple!
