  • sync tracks for multi cam question (excalibur) no tally indicator???

Posted by Wayne Grauel on June 8, 2006 at 2:02 pm

Gary and Ed, thanks for the clarification on excalibur in the previous post… i did not name my tracks and overlooked the intro to multicam in the directions – I jumped right to the multi cam tab and got seriously confused!!!!

    Now…

i have the tracks labeled (2 hour program – 2 cams) (baleled 1 & 2) (all tracks including audio are labeled)

    tracks are synced…

hit sync tracks and i have the master track (all grey.. solid with no checkerboard)
and i have the tally track (checkerboarded

what i do not have is the blue tally and no labels for cam 1 2 3 4 in the PIP

I did another quick test with two other pieces of media (single clips) in a new project

labeled the tracks and synced the tracks…. i have pip with 1234 and tally around selected cameras

tried it again on this long project and nothing!!!

what do you think is going on????

    Gary, yes, 1 name the tracks 2. apply sync points ( 1s 2s )

    3. goto excalibur and apply sync.

No PIP with tracked labeled (pip but no 1,2,3,4) and no tally marker after switching with the cam numbers on the tool bar

i even reloaded only ist half of program and figured i would do one at a time. ( 4 – 4 gig clips)

    same results

i loaded 2 clips from a wedding and did the same thing and i get each the PIP with 1,2,3,4 and tally on the active track

with the other project, i get a PIP with nothing labled….. very strange…

hi… ok reloaded the stuff again after noticing an overlay in the tracks (overlay imported media)

set that to off and it works….

OK… i’ll keep you posted on any further developments.

    Thanks
    Wayne
