Sync slips over time – old 5D footage

I’d say try changing the audio to 29,97. Drop it in a timeline export the sequence with only audio clip and black Video clip. Once exported change its properties in mpegstreamclip from 30 to 29,97. I forgot to ask you how long are those clips?
If they are long clips it totaly makes sense that they are couple seconds of at the end.
This sounds like a hell of a project to trouble shoot.
