  sync problems in FCP

  Hi,
  I have run into an audio/video syncronization problem in FCP 5.1.1 I have tried making the canvas window to “Fit to Window” or smaller and this does not seem to help at all.
  The media I have to edit is on 4 separate drives, which may cause for poorer drive performance. What do you think?
  I tried to set the refresh rate in System Pref. to 75 Hz, but it is grayed-out and will only allow me to select 60 Hz.
  I notice it more when I have numerous sequences open.
  I am using a G5 dual processor – 4 Gig ram. So I know this computer is strong enough.
  Do you think it may help to uninstall/reinstall FCP? Or do you have any other recommendations?
