  • Sync Audio and video in preview?

Hi, I am working on a project where I will be editing two MOV files in Avid Media Composer 3.5. They are fine with the exception that the audio is noticble out of sync, about a few seconds off. I would like to just go ahead and sync the master file in the preview window so i can sub-clip the various takes, How would I go about syncing these 2 files before they enter the timeline?

If you sync them up in a Timeline, then you may use Autosync to create a sync clip, so you won’t have to manually drag sequences into the source monitor.

Or, in a 35mm project, use Perf Slip on any synced clip to slip sync by 1/4 frame increments.
