I have a 17″ Macbook Pro (mid 2010): 2.53 GHz Core i5, GT330, and according to the “Avid Qualified Mac Systems” cannot be used with Mojo DX. Is this because of the GPU type or something else?

I’m looking at installing Symphony 6 on it but, I wasn’t sure if I would have issues with it (software only) on my Mac.

    Thanks in advance,

What’s interesting, is the compatibility says the Mojo DX can connect to a 17″ Mac Book Pro, but it uses a PCI-E card (which looks like a Mini-SAS) as opposed to the firewire connection the Mojo and Mojo SDI used.

I would have though the fact that it uses a PCI-E card would be the reason. Something seems fishy about that compatibility matrix.

UPDATE: Never mind, there appears to be an Express 34″ adapter available.

Software only will be fine. No need for the Mojo….if that’s what you were worried about.
