  • SxS cards 8 channel audio / Auto Audio modify possible?

    Hi Team

I work for a major News Broadcaster who use Adobe Premiere for their field edits
We source on SXS cards using XDCAM HD 422 50 Mbs
When importing clips from the SXS card the audio shows as 8 channels
I then select All clips and MODIFY to 2 channels ( As we have Ch1 Lav / boom sound, Ch2 camera mic)
Question…is there any way to set a Project Bin to automatically detect the 8 channels and convert them to 2
As this is non destructive I can always modify if I need the audio from other channels
    Any thoughts
    All the best

    Dave

I’ve not heard of a way to automate it. You probably know that it’s possible to create a preset of your audio settings in the “modify” screen. Makes it a pretty painless process. I try to remember to do it during importing.
