Perhaps this is a simple solution…
As we grow i have more and more editors on one machine

i tried setting up a fast switch account so that there will be only one account to edit from.

but when i try to go into fcp on the new account and asssign a drive it says that the hard drives are unwritable. or unable to set scratch disk.

anyone ever have this issue ?
we are using firmtek’s external hardrives…
can i only use it for one account ?

    Help !!!!
    thanks

You can just click on get info and ignore ownership on the volume. Everyone would have access.
