Switching power supply for field mixer??
I have noticed that AC to DC power supplies for field mixers are usually class 2 transformer supplies. Does anyone know if switching PS are suitable for this?

There is no FUNDAMENTAL reason that a switch-mode power-supply (SMPS) wouldn’t be suitable for most ANY application. Like everything else there are good SMPS and bad ones. And loads (like your mixer) that are happy with a variety of sources, and those which are very picky. This cannot be answered as a generic question.
