I am basically working with HDV footage that has been converted in FCP to APR – it’s in a timeline that claims it’s HDTV1080i, Square, and field dominance None, so I don’t know why it’s labeled 1080i. The footage had interlacing problems, so I used a Smart De-interlacer to fix those. When I Export using Compressor to an APR .mov, it all looks pretty good, but when I then put it back into Compressor to make a DVD, I get these lines on the bottom, that are clearly one of the lines from the top. What’s going on here? And how can I fix this?
(I should also add that I’ve used Neat Video Noise Reduction, and some Color Correction plug-ins – don’t know if Neat Video – which is a processing nightmare – might have been the culprit from the start). But basically, I’m stuck with these swapped fields in the DVD (when I view this on my MAC screen (not on a TV because it doesn’t show the edge of the files…any help would be much appreciated.
    Note: using FCP 6
    thanks in advance,
    best, Ellen Zweig
