I have a long sequence and want to reshuffle selections of multiple clips. What is the best and fastest way to do this?

Coming from Avid I mark in/mark out, press shift+X, position the pointer where I want it to be and press Shift+V. However, is there a short cut to position the “mark out” on the tail of the last clip, so I don’t have to move it back one frame?

Sometimes, I want to use the swap edit technique, ie selecting clips, moving and pressing the option key. However, this seems only possible with one clip, not with multiple clips (!!).

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

That’s exactly the way you do it in FCP. You mark In and Out (yes, you have to press the left arrow to go back one frame), Shift-X to ripple cut, Shift-V to paste insert.

    All the best,
