SVP11: Border for PiP(Picture in picture
Hi Guys,
I cant seem to find a solution.
I want to add a blurred border to my PiP and then chroma key it out so it blends in. Is there a way to do this? When i try to use ‘Sony Border’ it does it to the full screen even when i select the PiP video
or is my best bet to just put a slightly larger black box under the PiP and make it translucent?

Just draw a mask around your PIP Video

OR: Add/move Border FX before the PanCrop in the FX Chain. This will force the Border FX to be applied to just the PanCrop Item and not to the WHOLE Frame of the PanCrop.
I just double-checked this. You can use the Blur feature for the Blend.

Thanks Graham, That was exactly what i needed to know. I didnt realize the order things were in the FX chain could change how/what they affected

Oh yes. Do some tests with placing FXs in different order/s on that chain. You’d be surprised how much of a difference it makes. I was!
