So today I udated SVP13 from build 310 to 428, and I noticed that when I import an avi file and try to preview it, it will be choppy, laggy. If I pre-render it, it will run fine but I can’t work like that, especially cause I can only pre-render a couple of seconds.

It worked fine in build 310, and it doesn’t matter if it’s a 60fps recording I just made in-game or some already rendered 30fps footage. Other formats like mp4 work fine.

    I’m using a GeForce GTX550, cpu is I5 2400, 4gb ram.

Does anyone have any idea what’s causing this and how to fix it, please help!

I’m guessing you’ve now had a chance to close the Project and reboot the PC. If so you might have found that the AVI works better. Updating may have needed a restart. Anything to report?

    No sir, it’s still lagging.
Seems only the preview window is suffering from this update and if I can’t fix it I’ll just revert to 310 :/

Here are the settings to the preview window

    I should also mention I’m using Win8.1.

    Bump!

Alright I bring more info this time. First I reinstalled back to 310, but it wasn’t what some would call a clean reinstall, so I shall do it again tomorrow. (I did not restart immediately after uninstalling but proceeded to install so, the issue remained)

First a video, on the left is the avi file, on the right is the same thing remuxed to mp4, notice the framerates.

Now what I noticed, the preview is only/mostly lagging on this type of avi which I recorded through msi afterburner (which I always use to record).

Could it be when I updated to 428, this specific avi started asking for some codec I do not have or something? I need to try and resolve this issue by weekend Q_Q
