    Hi Gang…
I’ve just put a decklink extreme in a PC. I followed the install instructions and everything seemed to install correctly. When i fire up ‘Blackmagic Deck Control’, i get an error dialogue box that says… ‘Could not open serial port. An error occurred while opening the serial port’. hmmmm.
So, i click ok, then on the bottom left hand side next to ‘deck’ it says “No Comm”. So i’m thinking serial 422 – no communications.

I’ve checked all my connections w/ my uvw-1800. i’ve reseated the rs-422 again. still no deck control. then i switched the deck to ‘local control’, hit play and i’m getting a preview in the ‘BM Deck Control Software’. I’m just having a hard time getting control of the deck.

I’ve uninstalled the driver. Then reinstalled the driver (4.8.1).

The BM card in this box isn’t going to be in use for another 4 hours… so i have a little bit of time, not a whole lot though.

If anyone can help, i’d be greatly thankful.
